Description

When you think of wedding, birthday or anniversary invitations, you probably imagine something formal and traditional — with good reason. Traditionally, invitations are formal and traditional, with a stationary card that’s written in calligraphy and sealed with wax. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t have an alternative invitation—one that reflects yourself and your partner and your new life together. There are so many ways to make your  invitations non-traditional while still retaining their elegance and beauty. You can choose an unusual shape, a different type of paper or even an unusual method of delivery. Here are some examples:

Just the Names and Date

That’s right: no hearts and flowers, just the names and date. This is a non-traditional invitation that’s also very minimalist and stylish. It’s a great choice for a couple that’s stylish and modern.

Inside The Invitation

Inside your invitation, you can include a special message or a poem that you’ve written. It’s a wonderful way to express yourself, and it’s also a great way to show your creativity. It’s definitely a non-traditional invitation, but it’s a wonderful choice for a couple that’s creative and expressive.

Final Thoughts

Traditional invitations are beautiful, but there’s no reason that your invitations can’t be beautiful and non-traditional. With all the options available to you, there’s really no limit to the creativity you can show. Your invitations are an amazing opportunity to show your personality and to highlight your relationship.

Original Invitations Design Guidelines

  • Bleed Area: 3.66" x 2.16"

Make sure that your background extends to fill the bleed to avoid your Business Cards having white edges when trimmed.

  • Trim: 3.50" x 2.0"

This is where we aim to cut your cards.

  • Safe Area: 3.34" x 1.84"

Make sure any important aspects of your design such as text and logos are inside of the safe area, otherwise they may be cut off.
