Every sheet that ends up in the recycling bin is paper you paid for. Reducing waste is good for the planet and good for your budget. Here are five things that genuinely move the needle.

1. Design to a standard size

Standard A and DL sizes impose neatly on our press sheets. A slightly oversized custom piece can drop you from 24-up to 16-up — a third more paper for the same quantity.

2. Gang similar jobs together

If several items share the same stock and finish, they can often be “gang run” on one sheet, splitting the setup and waste across all of them. Ask us if your jobs can be combined.

3. Order in sheet-friendly quantities

Because we print whole sheets, the cost per unit drops at quantities that fill a sheet neatly. Sometimes 1 000 cards costs barely more than 750 — our estimator can show you the break points.

4. Get the artwork right first time

A reprint is 100% waste. Correct bleed, 300 DPI images and an embedded-font PDF mean the job runs once, not twice.

5. Choose the right press

Short runs belong on digital (no plates, no make-ready waste); long runs belong on litho. Matching the job to the press is one of the biggest waste savers there is.
